D. A. Young

British author. Full name Derek Anthony Young. As far as I know only wrote one pony book, a traditional story set in Kent. Unusually for pony books, this is illustrated with lovely full colour plates rather than the usual black and white illustrations.

I don't have any more information about the author so if you know anything at all about him I would love to hear from you.

Not a common title, although can be found in the UK without too much bother. Hard to fin with dustjacket, however. The odd copy may also be found in the USA and Australia.
